LAKE FERTO / NEUSIDEL - A BIOSPHERE RESERVE : WONDERFUL PLACES IN HUNGARY #22

This is the largest endorheic lake in Central Europe and it borders Austrian and Hungary.  It is 33X saltier than Lake Balaton.  It's subject to extreme variations, even going completely dry at times.  Known for it's reeds, the lake is home to over 300 species of birds, so morning birdwatching is engaging.
