FORCES OF NATURE PBS FILM - A BIT OF THE TISZA RIVER

Yes the photography is amazing, but I was only half watching when my ears caught the words Hungary - Tisza River - May Flies.  Turns out these creatures live under the river water down in the mud for all but the one day of their life when they mate and die, unless a big fish or a bird takes full advantage of the situation and eats them first.  So their name is about how they take flight one day in the month of may. Oh these are no ordinary May Flies, they are Giant Ones.  When they mate, their eggs are instantly fertilized and drop into the river.  Then they fall in dead.

Worth watching!
