HUNGARIAN GOULASH CARTOON ; 1930

These days I cringe at the humor of violence in cartoons, but of interest to me also is that this one is called HUGARIAN GOULASH but I don't quite get what's Hungarian about it.  Can you explain that to me? If so, please leave a comment!
